Cotton

Cotton is a soft, fluffy staple fiber that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants of the genus Gossypium in the mallow family Malvaceae. The fiber is almost pure cellulose, and can contain minor percentages of waxes, fats, pectins, and water.

• Iron with care

  Iron on high heat while the fabric is slightly damp. You can use steam as needed. 

• Use oxygen bleach

  Avoid chlorine-based bleaches, which can damage the fabric and dye.

• Wash with care

  Use a delicate cycle or cold wash to avoid shrinking. You can wash cotton in warm water, but avoid excessively hot water. 

• Dry carefully

  Air drying is best for minimizing shrinking. If you machine dry, use low to moderate heat.
